My BFFs and me in Whistler this summer 2013 after White water Rafting.
Kozue is my friend from Japan. We have known each other since 2011. She’s just recently came back to Vancouver from her holidays in Niigata, Japan. She said it was very cold weather during her visit, even colder than in the west coast of Canada. But now the real cold kicked in, so I think she probably doesn’t mind to go back.
We had a chance to see everybody, catch up on things and enjoy delicious food with some drinks. Cold sake in bamboo glasses and cocktails Japanese style – unusual, crisp and bright like its names: Hello Kitty, Harajuku girl, Ginger Fizz.
In Canada and Japan family and friends organize a special party for a Birthday person, as opposed to tradition in Russia, where a party planner is a Birthday person!
A Birthday person invites over friends and family for a dinner to celebrate his/her day and even bakes the cake.
Lyndsey is my girl from UK. She is fun and witty and a dog lover.
She came back to Vancouver in the beginning of summer this year from Britain to share with me the experience living abroad again.
We have known each other since 2009. We have been living together for two years, during which we had so many tough, but funny life situations. We love to look back and laugh at them, because some of them were actually pretty funny.
So her birthday is in the middle of December. We had been planning to go to watch a rock band show, playing live downtown until they changed the date! Maybe we should celebrate it British way?
What is the British way anyway? Lyndsey?
“There is no one way we celebrate birthdays in the UK, but generally there should be friends and family, and cake! As I’ve spent several birthdays here in Canada, some of my family have become really good at sending birthday cards in advance so they arrive in time. One of my aunties tries her best but usually her card turns up about three months late in March. One or two of my friends still send cards but mostly its sending birthday messages on Facebook now.
At home I would usually go out with my friends the night before (and count down until midnight!) and then spend my actual birthday day at home with my family and wider family members coming over to visit.”
Sounds interesting! So we should count down until midnight and have a celebration!
Here’s some astrological characteristics of a Sagittarius women that I think very close to be true. The Sagittarius Woman: November 22- December 21 by Susan Miller:
“The Sagittarius woman is vivacious, funny, self assured, and sophisticated. She probably had an opportunity to travel as a child, and will need to continue to do so throughout her life. She’s a woman who needs challenge and intellectual stimulation in all parts of her life.
Sag women are often highly successful at what they set out to do simply because they are so positive they will succeed. Since the sign also rules international communication, they are either known worldwide or deal with matters of global importance. “
